switches are mechanical or controlling devices that change or direct the flow or interrupt the current from the source to the load with the medium or wires within a loop. Switches are designed in a different layout as per requirements and work performance.

In a nutshell, the switch can make or break the flow of current in a circuit with just a press on them.
